"May the Luck of the Irish be with You!"

Looking for something to do this weekend?  Why not join a Louisville tradition this Saturday in the Highlands?  The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, always the Saturday before March 17th, will take place this year on March 10th.  For those unaware, the Louisville Hibernians put the whole thing together and deem it “the greatest parade of all time!”

The parade begins at 3:00 pm on the corner of Broadway & Baxter and ends at Windsor Place (Mid-City Mall) around 6:00.  Word of advice:  Get there early!  And one more thing … wear green!  This fun event will take place rain or shine as the early forecast calls for light rain and cool temps.  But anyone who lives in Kentucky knows that forecasts can change in a heartbeat.

Be sure to grab a primo spot since this event draws tons of people.  Beads, candy and lots of trinkets will be handed out by participating groups.  It’s a fun time to get together with friends and family … and yes, green beer will be flowing (of course).  After the parade, join the awards presentation for “Best Groups” held at O’Shea’s Irish Pub on Baxter.   We’ll see you there!

And remember …   “May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.” – Irish Saying
