2017 Service Awards

Duplicator Sales & Derby City Litho’s Annual Service Awards Presentation took place on Thursday, July 18th.  Mike Nash was Master of Ceremonies and he did a splendid job (as always) in honoring these long-time employees.  Distinguished employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 & 35 years of service were recognized.

Records Were Made to be Broken!

Well, we did it!  We broke last year’s record of collecting 112 backpacks for the Volunteers of America’s Backpack Program by mustering up 120 this year!  Remember, the V.O.A. annually helps thousands of homeless and at-risk children in our community to return to school with the basic supplies needed.  But they can’t do it alone.

Celebrating Working Anniversaries

Please join us in celebrating Duplicator Sales & Service and Derby City Litho’s working anniversaries for the months of March, April, May, June & July:

Relive the 60's & 70's

Some of the iconic and classic bands of the 60’s and 70’s are coming to the 2017 Kentucky State Fair in a “free” concert on Tuesday, August 22nd.   The Happy Together Tour was started by The Turtles in 1984 and after a small break, resurfaced in 2010.

The Louisville Chapter of the American Red Cross visited Duplicator Sales & Service today for our semi-annual Blood Drive.  As always, there is an emergency need for blood and platelet donors this summer and Duplicator was more than ready to meet the challenge.

Here’s a few factoids regarding blood donation:

She's All That!

Karen McDonald

Karen is one special employee who has shown unwavering dedication to the company since her early days at Duplicator Sales & Service, roughly 40 years ago.  She truly embodies what it means to be a team player.  “Early to bed, early to rise” is Karen’s motto as she is one of the first employees to enter the building each day, well before the crack of dawn.

Meet Our New Employee

Larry Blackmon

Meet Larry Blackmon, our new Shipping and Receiving employee.  Larry has been with us for a couple of months through a temporary agency and we’re glad to say he is now an employee of Duplicator Sales & Service.

Larry has five children, three girls and two boys, ranging between the ages of 21 and 5.  In his free time he enjoys fishing, cooking and making T-shirts.  He also enjoys cheering for the UofL Cards.  Welcome aboard, Larry!

See You There!

F.A.T. Friday Hop

Since 2004, the F.A.T. (Frankfort Avenue Trolley) Friday Hop draws thousands of people.  The Hop is the last Friday of every month from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm.  You board the Trolley at the Historic Frankfort Avenue Corridor where Frankfort Avenue intersects with N. Jane Street or at any designated stop.

Sean Klusmeier

Sean has been working for Duplicator Sales & Service for a few years now.  He started out in the New Setup Department and it didn’t take him long to catch on to how that area operated and before long he was moving at full speed.

His mechanical abilities appeared even stronger when the opportunity arose to move to the Recon Department.  Again, he caught on quickly and was soon turning out high quality recons.  As time went on, he would be going back and forth between Recon and New Setup, showing the same strong work ethic in both areas.

Please Welcome...

Cody Brangers

Introducing Cody Brangers, our new summer employee.  Cody will help out in the Parts Department and the Warehouse as well as assisting in Facilities.  He just graduated from Portland Christian School and has his sights set for the future as he will be attending I.B.E.W. school later in the summer to become an electrician.

His favorite pastimes are paint ball and basketball.  Cody is the son of Steve Brangers in the Sales Department.

Welcome aboard, Cody!!
