Duplicator Technician Awarded Ricoh Prestige Level 2 Certification

~~Wayne Butterfield, Region Service Manager of Ricoh was proud to present yet another service award to Duplicator Sales & Service.  In this year’s Technician Evaluation Program, 2100 techs nationwide were tested.  The top 50% of those technicians proceeded to take a Level II testing, a more advanced evaluation of hardware, solutions and network skills.  Out of that total, only 118 techs around the country were awarded the Prestige Level 2 Certification.  Congratulations to Wesley Jones, one of the elite 118!

Employee of the Month: Steve Stelton

~~      Aside from the fact that Steve is the "Go-To-Guy" for color copier questions in the Service Department, he's also a great help to the production black and white users.  His 25+ years of experience in the copier industry make him an extremely knowledgeable and valuable employee.
Derby City Litho has a strong connection with Steve and consistently uses him as a resource for projects, problems and questions, large or small.  Whether he is in the building or out in the field, Steve always answers any question that comes his way. Congrats!

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” — Steve Jobs

Introducing ...

~~  Please welcome Corey Cooper to the Sales Department here at Duplicator Sales & Service.  In 2013, Corey graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Psychology.  After graduation, he landed a sales job with a logistics company where he gained invaluable sales experience.
On the personal side, he loves any and all sports but his heart bleeds blue when it comes to the University of Kentucky.  He also is a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cubs.

How Secure is your Office Copier?

~~Digital copiers are commonplace in businesses today. In fact, you would be hard pressed to go to any office who didn’t have at least one copier, with most organizations having several.   These multifunctional devices can copy, scan, print, fax and even email documents.  Which poses the question... Just how secure are office copiers?  Since most mid-volume and up copiers have hard drives, what happens to these hard drives after a copier is traded in?  Is this something we actually should be concerned with?

August Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Sarah Paynter, head of Human Resources here at Duplicator.  It's a known fact that Sarah has excellent people skills which certainly make her a pleasure to work with.  Considering the many responsibilities she has, it's good to know she handles with ease any situation that may arise.  Whether it be employee relations, benefits, recruiting, etc., it's reassuring to know we're in such capable hands.

Quick Tips to Consider Before Calling for Copier Service

In order to save time, frustration, and money, consider using these tips before calling for service on your copier.

*First and foremost, check the electrical outlet.  If you have a power protection strip, make sure the light is on and you have power.

*If your device won’t print, copy or fax, be sure to check the paper and toner levels.  Also be sure to check your operation panel to see if you have any service codes or alerts to be aware of.

Dig Deep!

~~With another school year just around the corner, the employees of Duplicator Sales decided to “dig deep” and break last year’s record of collecting 70 backpacks for the Volunteer of America’s Backpack Program.  For those who are unaware, the V.O.A. annually helps thousands of homeless and at-risk children in local communities to return to school with the basic supplies needed.
