Happy to Help

We’re pleased to announce our annual fundraiser for Breckinridge-Franklin Elementary was a huge success.  Through the generous donations of our fellow employees, we were able to provide 55 food baskets to students and their families this holiday season.

Each year we gladly collect either money or food for our nearby neighbors and have a good time doing so.  The school is amazing and they are always very appreciative of our support.

Welcome to the Familia!

Please welcome Katie Whitaker, daughter of long-time employee Allen Whitaker, to the 3rd floor!  Katie is our new Recon Tech in Set Up.  She should be a good fit because, according to Katie, she’s been taking things apart and putting them back together as long as she can remember.

She also enjoys painting (mostly acrylics) and photography.  Katie is very excited as she is expecting her first child at the end of March!  Congrats and welcome to the familia!

Employee of the Month - Josh Benningfield

EOM- Josh Benningfield

Since arriving at Duplicator Sales & Service, Josh has exhibited nothing but a "can do" attitude regarding any task he has been given.  On a daily basis, he lives by the founder's motto,  "We don't pay anyone, our customers pay all of us.  So we work hard at total customer satisfaction."  He does this by assisting the customer in whatever the task may be in order to make their life just a little bit easier.

Meet Cole Wallace, our new Recon/Set-up Tech on the 3rd floor.  He’s a recent graduate of Trimble County High School where he was a key member of the band and golf team.

He attended the University of Louisville where he played the tuba in the marching band. He is currently a member of the concert band at Indiana University Southeast.  So it should come as no surprise that Cole’s interests include the piano, guitar, bass and most of the brass family.  Cole is the son of Sherri Wallace in the Service Department.  Nice to meet you, Cole!

'Tis the Season

While there are many holiday celebrations gearing up around us, one that might be over looked is Louisville’s East End “Holiday Brite Nite.”  The festivities take place at the Paddock Shops, formerly the Summit Shopping Center, located on Brownsboro Road near the Gene Snyder Freeway.

The event begins on Saturday, November 25th from 5 pm – 8 pm.  There will be carolers, magicians, jugglers, a stilt walker, Frosty and, of course, Santa!  Add free face painting and hundreds of complimentary glow items and you’ve got one heck of a holiday celebration.

A Round of Applause

Please join us in recognizing Derby City Litho's Nathan Chamberlain as this month's Employee of the Month.
Nathan always does a remarkable job in the Bindery Department and is not afraid to offer valuable suggestions to make production run smoother for everyone. Recently DCL was extremely short-staffed & Nate really stepped up to keep Bindery operating efficiently.  He is a great team player and a versatile employee, able to run all bindery machines.

New Kid on the Block

Please welcome Jessica Broy, our new Emerging Media Specialist at Derby City Litho.  Jessica will be responsible for DCL’s digital storefront and mailings.  She comes to us with 14 years prepress experience plus an additional 5 years in E-commerce.  She also has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Ivy Tech, majoring in Visual Communication.

Jessica is married and has a 12-year-old daughter.  She and her husband are also fostering 3 sibling children, ages 16, 13, and 11.  To round out the family, they also have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 gerbils.

Welcome aboard!

Employee Working Anniversaries

Long-time employees are a direct reflection of the company they work for.  Together, employer and employee share a unique “give & take” perspective in which both benefit from a good working relationship.

With this thought in mind, congratulations are in order for Duplicator Sales & Service and Derby City Litho’s employee working anniversaries for the months of August, September and October:

Pumpkin Palooza

You owe it to yourself to “take-in” Iroquois Park’s illuminating outdoor art festival, better known as the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.  This event lasts from October 12th to November 5th from dusk to 11 pm weekdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays in Louisville’s south end.

As unbelievable as it seems, there are over 5,000 carved fluorescent pumpkins created by local artists that line a quarter of a mile of the walking trail in the park.  The trail has themed scenes and music to coincide.  As suggested by the title, it is truly spectacular.

Standing Ovation

In his job in the IT Department as Systems Technician, Alex handles many internal issues and is a huge help to his fellow employees.  He is attentive and takes great pride in his work.

As of late, he has been instrumental in improving Soaring which, in turn, has been a tremendous aid to the sales department.

It’s plain to see that Alex’s prompt responses to our IT concerns do not go unnoticed.  Kudos!
