Come Celebrate!

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Louisville, always the Saturday before March 17th, will take place this year on March 14th.  Some locals have gone so far as to label it “the greatest parade of all time!”

The fun begins at 3:00 pm on the corner of Broadway & Baxter and ends at Windsor Place, in the Mid-City Mall area, around 6:00 pm.  The event will take place rain or shine so plan accordingly.  As of now, the very early forecast calls for showers and only 48 degrees but anyone who lives in Kentucky knows that forecasts can change in the blink of an eye.

So, if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, this just might be the ticket.  Plan on getting there early since this St. Paddy’s event has been known to draw a lot of folks.  Beads, candy and trinkets will be handed out by participating groups.  It’s a fun time to get together with friends and family … and yes, green beer will be flowing (of course).  We’ll see you there!

May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been, the foresight to know where you’re going, and the insight to know when you have gone too far. - Irish Saying
