Records Were Made to be Broken!

We did it!  So pat yourself on the back!  We dug deep in our pockets and came up with 157 backpacks for the Volunteer of America’s Operation Backpack this year, topping our previous record of 154 backpacks.  We didn’t “kill” the record, but nevertheless, we exceeded it.

Meet the New Guy

Please give a warm welcome to Lee Nejdl, our new General Maintenance Specialist for Duplicator and Derby City Litho.  Lee has an impressive background as he is a Navy veteran who, for many years, specialized in IT work.  He most recently worked with NBC Universal where he helped to support over 7000 servers.  He also has experience in apartment maintenance and remodeling.

Props to Mark Blackburn!

Mark is our Director of Service and Technology and has been with the company roughly 25 years.  He basically oversees all aspects of the Service Department and is one of those exceptional employees who takes on many roles, doing an admirable job at each.

Mark provides network and technical support to customers, technical staff, in-house users, etc.  He also integrates equipment, software and security measures at the customer site.

2019 Service Awards

Duplicator Sales & Derby City Litho's Annual Service Awards Presentation took place on Thursday, July 18th.  Mike Nash was Master of Ceremonies and did not disappoint when it came to honoring these long-time employees.  Distinguished employees with 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service were recognized.

A Warm Welcome to ...

Meet Tom Ray, our new Set-up Recon Tech on the 3rd floor.  Tom has 8 solid years of experience in copier & printer set-up and should be a big asset to that department.

On the personal side, he likes fishing and hiking and spending time with his 6-year-old beagle/English bulldog named Cooper.  Welcome aboard, Tom!

Meet Joshua Jones

Please welcome Joshua Jones to our Lexington Service Department.  Joshua brings plenty of technical experience with him as he was once the Network Administrator Assistant for the Carroll County School System.   He also served in the military repairing equipment for four years, which included a 15 month stint in Iraq.  In addition, he has multiple certifications from Louisville Tech to help him in his new role as Service Technician.

He's the Man!

We would like to congratulate Ted Heckenkamp on being selected as June’s Employee of the Month. It was obvious from day one that Ted was undoubtedly a team player and all-around good guy and he hasn’t disappointed since.

Ted always goes the extra mile as evidenced by the fact he took first aid training right when it became available here at the office. When the hour came, he was able to help save the life of Tracey Bixler in May – no small feat!

Happy Anniversary!

Finding good employees is challenging for any business.  Keeping good employees is another thing.  Duplicator Sales & Service and Derby City Litho take pride in retaining quality employees as reflected in our working anniversaries for the months of March, April and May:

The Animal Lover in You!

Here we go again!  It’s time for the 25th Annual Waggin’ Trail Festival for the Animals sponsored by the Kentucky Humane Society.  The event takes place on Sunday, June 9th at the Louisville Water Tower located at 3005 River Road.  Enjoy food & beverage (even beer) and be sure to bring your four-legged friend.

From 2:00pm until 5:00pm, you can partake in the festivities while the walk unofficially begins at 2:30.  Just so you know, you don’t have to bring a pet to participate.  Just bring your love for helping animals.
