All For a Good Cause

It’s that time of year again!!!  Get ready for the 24th Annual Waggin’ Trail Festival for the animals.  The event takes place on Sunday, June 10th at the Louisville Water Tower.  Enjoy food & beverage and be sure to bring your four-legged friend. The event takes place from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm with the walk beginning at 2:30.  The festivities are sponsored by the Kentucky Humane Society.  (You don’t have to bring a pet to participate – just bring your love for helping animals.)

Happy at Work!

Long-time employees are a direct reflection of the company they work for.  Together, employer and employee share a unique “give & take” perspective in which both benefit from a good working relationship.

With this thought in mind, please join us in celebrating Duplicator Sales and Derby City Litho’s employee working anniversaries for the months of January, February, March & April:

High Five to Laurel Mitchell!

Laurel truly deserves recognition for her work over the past few months. Not only has she kept up with managing fixed assets, bank reconciliations and property tax filing, but she has been instrumental with the transition into e-automate.

He's the Man!

Randy is a workhorse in every sense of the word.  He is a focused, thorough, and very dependable employee whose number one priority is taking care of the customer.  He is extremely knowledgeable of our digital equipment and is a reliable source to turn to if questions should arise.

Combine his knowledge and work ethics along with his easygoing personality and you have one outstanding employee.

Welcome Aboard!

Please give a big welcome to Mikayla Toon, our new summer temporary clerk.  Her job here at Duplicator will be primarily helping out in any department where she is needed.

Mikayla just finished her freshman year at the University of Brescia where she is pursuing an art degree.  As you can imagine, art in any form is her favorite pastime, especially drawing and photography.

Mikayla is the daughter of Jerilynn Toon in Parts.  Welcome aboard!

Introducing ...

A big welcome to John Salamida, our new Sales Representative at Derby City Litho. John has over 25 years experience in the printing industry, both as a commercial printing rep and as an owner of a printing business.

He is married and has two children, one grandchild, and one 15-year-old Jack Russel terrier named Ernie.  In his free time, he enjoys horse racing, gardening and working around the house.  John is a native New Yorker who likes to see all the Kentucky sports teams do well, but his heart is with the Syracuse Orangemen.  Welcome aboard!

Kentucky Derby Festival Clown Headquarters 2018

Duplicator is proud to be the Clown Headquarters for the 2018 Kentucky Derby Festival Pegasus Parade.  In fact, we have had the pleasure of providing this service for 20 plus years.  DS&S is strategically located at the very start of the parade at Campbell & Broadway.  Our garage area provides ample room for the “funny people” to meet, get their costumes together and basically entertain all employees coming and going.  And, by the way, we are a great audience!

Another New Face ... Alvolon Boyd!

Alvolon has been working as our Collections Specialist in the accounting department for the last few months through a temporary agency.  We’re pleased to announce she is now a full-time employee of DS&S.

Alvolon has 9 years collections experience under her belt and is excited to be part of a wonderful working atmosphere and surrounded by good people.

She has one grown son and loves to watch basketball and football, with the Louisville Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers being “her” teams.  Welcome aboard, Alvolon!

New Employee

Meet Todd Williams, a new Senior Field Service Technician in our Service Department.  He comes to us with over 25 years of technical experience.

He is married and has three children and one grandchild.  Todd enjoys tinkering with his 1979 El Camino and is always eager to help out with his youngest son’s Boy Scout Troop.  Welcome aboard, Todd!

Welcome!!!

A big welcome to Will Skaggs, a new Field Service Technician in our Service Department. Will graduated from Louisville Technical Institute with a degree in Computer/Network Administration and should be a great addition to the department.

He is a single dad and happy father of a teenage girl.  In his free time he enjoys woodworking and spending time with his daughter.  Welcome aboard, Will!
